‘It’s clearly a record filled with enchantment and it’s going to weave it’s spell on you too’

4 x ARIA Award winning and 6 x platinum selling vocalist extraordinaire Katie is joined in Elixir by guitarist Stephen Magnusson and saxophonist Zac Hurren and together they present an intimate evening of sublime, lyrical music.
Since their self-titled first album became a top 20 bestseller upon its release in 2003, Melbourne-based guitarist Stephen Magnusson, a major solo recording artist in his own right, joined the band in 2005.
Rounding out the trio, Katie’s husband Zac Hurren provides his mellifluous, lyrical saxophone lines, as distinctive a feature of the Elixir sound as Katie’s sublime vocals themselves.
Katie Noonan’s sublime jazz trio of 14 years Elixir released their long awaited 2nd album ‘First Seed Ripening’ in early September. The album subsequently spent over 13 weeks at #1 on the Australian Jazz chart and was recently awarded the ARIA award for Best Jazz album 2011!
