Just Music Album Launch

Jesuit Social Services will release an album of great Australian artists performing original and rare tracks to raise funds and promote awareness for Jesuit Social Services’ work with disadvantaged young people, especially those within the justice system and those with multiple and complex needs, including mental health and drug and alcohol use.
In 2012, Jesuit Social Services marks 35 years since their work began in 1977. In that time, they have supported thousands of young people who have been involved in the justice system, exiting prison and looking for a second, third and fourth chance.
Through its Brosnan Youth Services program, Jesuit Social Services works with young people in the justice system delivering quality programs in a manner that reflects the social justice principals of participation, equity, access and respect. Services include: intensive outreach support, case management, supported accommodation, drug and alcohol counselling, recreations programs, employment/training programs, 24/7 after hours emergency assistance and duty work and referral service.
Artists featured on the new album, donating unreleased or rare tracks, include Paul Kelly with Dave Arden, Robot Child including Waleed Aly, Angie Hart, Blue King Brown, Clare Bowditch, Xavier Rudd, Tjimba and The Yung Warriors, Dan Sultan, Jesse and Ella Hooper, David Bridie and the Sheila’s and Paradise Motel among others.
Artists playing at the launch include David Bridie and the Sheila’s (Monique Brumby, Kerri Simpson and Rebecca Barnard), Robot Child including Waleed Aly, Tjimba and The Yung Warriors, Jesse and Ella Hooper and Peter Ewing with more to be announced!
