The track From My Eyes became the first extended play for Bart Willoughby’s band No Fixed Address in 1978. Since then, Willoughby has been celebrated as a pioneering contributor to the development of Indigenous music.
Best known for his fusion of reggae and rock, Willoughby has created anthems for his Indigenous and broader Australian fan base.
With the much anticipated release of his next album Proud, Bart will perform in The Famous Spiegeltent backed by The Bart Willoughby band – including Selwyn and Tjimba Burns, Airi Ingram and the impeccable harmonies of Deline Briscoe and Emma Donavon. The album and concert promise audiences an epic ride through various musical genres from reggae to heavy rock to a fusion of middle eastern and traditional aboriginal chanting.
Special guests include Kurdish Saz player Fadil Suna and ex-Bangarra Dancer, Albert David.
